Safe at Home with Mommy and Daddy

So the update on the two dogs from yesterday is that the brown one actually had a microchip! Yeah! So their mom and dad were called at work and they were indeed home in time for dinner. Turns out the lab is actually sick..they noticed that she was acting funny and after a $500 visit to the vet (which also tells me they are really good parents because they went and spent that) , the vet told them that something is wrong with her liver and she needs more testing. So I don't know that we will ever know more about these two guys other than that they went on an unsupervised walk that led to my first ever SUCCESSFUL doggy rescue. YEAH!!!

I Just Had to Stop

So this morning i was driving into work and saw these two precious dogs running frantically down Pinal by McCartney. They then crossed the road and were stuck in the middle island. So of course, I pullled over to see if I could help them and they came running to me...like please save us! One is defintely a lab or a lab mix and the other might be a German Shorthair (according to animal control)....anyways, I called my Sean to come help me and in the meanwhile a cop pulled over to see if i was ok... he called animal control and that's where they are now... part of me is nervous for them to be there because i dont want them to be split up...they were laying together while we waited... they are definitley best of friends.. animal control says they will scan them for chips and give their owners 3 days before they go up for adoption... I'm going to post some flyers in the area that i saw them... I'm in some trouble with Sean for putting myself in danger on a busy road during the morning commute... but how could i not stop and help them...just look at how cute they are. Everyone is convinced because they were so friendly and look well taken care of that there owners will be looking for them and they will be home in time for dinner tonight. God I hope so!!

Fireworks!

So last night Sean and I went out to support our town and see the fireworks. As much as Casa Grande has grown since we've gotten here...they lacked on improving the fireworks... It was sooo long.. it felt like forever... it had to be at least 45 minutes... so long that I actually fell asleep. Now while I applaud a great fireworks exhibit, these left something to be desired, a little variety never hurt anyone..honestly, it was the same 5 fireworks set off over and over... ohh a green burst...oohh a red burst.. and this went on and on... so since each individual one was not that exciting we decided to leave the shutter on the camera open and see how it would be with mulitple ones...here's the results, which in our opinion, are way more exciting than the real deals were...

The Best Grandparents Ever

I just love Meme and Pepe... I mean... how cool are the names Meme and Pepe... and they were (and still are) so loving and so involved in my life...always there when we were little...still there today... so as I continue my trip down memory lane scanning old photos... here's two of me and meme and pepe that I love..from back in the Jersey days... good ole Atco, NJ...which if I had to find on a map I could probably never do because I do not remember anything more than our cul de sac neighborhood, oh and sitting in the car with Mom and Ricky (it has to be "Ricky" and not "Rick" to preserve the true memory) across the street from the junk yard trying to get a glimpse of the filming of Eddie and the Cruisers...(probably Atco's ONLY claim to fame to this day).

My Baby Jazz

It's time to catch up the old photos to today's technology, so I've slowly started to scan old photos. When I came across this one I just knew that I had to scan it to preserve it forever...before it gets yellow with time... before it gets lost in a drawer or old box.... so here she is my sweet baby Jazz at only a few weeks old.... she still is my sweet baby Jazz...the only difference between her now and then is that she just about multiplied 10 times in size...
